About

I have been an audiologist for over 20 years. I received my Master’s Degree in Audiology from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. I am a licensed audiologist in the state of Illinois, a member of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association, and the Illinois Academy of Audiology. I enjoy working with individuals of all ages, from completing newborn hearing screenings, to assessing the communication needs of the older adults. I also provide industrial hearing conservation services, including employee screenings and training, and the fitting of custom made hearing protections for individuals who work in noisy areas. I formed Streator Hearing Care in Streator, Illinois to provide quality audiology services to adults and children. I became interested in working with people with hearing impairment because I thought that not being able to communicate with others due to a hearing loss would be such a difficult thing to live with. I believe it is very important to listen to each individual and learn with his or her specific hearing problems are, then work together to provide improvements in hearing and communication. I enjoy spending time with my sons Isaac and Maqualin, and also enjoy running, swimming and biking. I’m a member of the Haiti Mission Team and have made several medical mission trips to Haiti. I feel very fortunate to have such wonderful family and friends, and to be in a profession where I am able to work with so many special people.
