The team defeated Michigan to win the Big Ten Conference Championship with an 8-1-1 record. The team also won the 50th Anniversary Rose Bowl Championship on January 1, 1964 in a 17-7 win over Washington. Grabowski was MVP. Dick Butkus Captain.
